Health Screenings for Women and Children

For Children

Hope Now International provides personalized immunization reviews, blood pressure readings and body mass index (BMI) calculations for children. Parents are able to speak with Family Medicine physicians, certified nutritionist, and nurses for any questions they may have regarding their child's lifestyle, eating habits and physical activities.

"The overall well-being and health of your child is essential," said Terri Kyle, MSN, ARNP, University Professor and a member of the Hope Now Board of Directors. "Immunizing your child properly, eliminating junk foods and replacing them with healthier choices, and ensuring that your child is physically active 30 to 60 minutes every day are small changes that can establish a healthy lifestyle." Childhood obesity is a growing epidemic in the United States. An estimated one in three children and teens in the United States is overweight or obese. Overweight children have a 70-80 percent chance of becoming overweight adults. Obesity can cause a broad range of health problems including high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and heart problems.
